Fast And Fun Blue Slide By The Poolside On A — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from 1973 showing a bright blue plastic slide at a residential poolside in Central Coast California. The slide curves downward toward the pool, supported by metal poles against a backdrop of wood-paneled walls and beige siding. The scene is bathed in bright sunlight, casting sharp shadows on the concrete deck. The film exhibits characteristic grain and color saturation of 1970s Super 8 footage, with a slightly faded, nostalgic quality. The clip captures a quiet, sun-drenched moment of mid-century American leisure, evoking memories of summer fun and family vacations.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful 1970s Central Coast California home-movie cutaway for productions needing residential poolside recreation, summer leisure, or suburban vacation atmosphere without visible people.
Period detail: The bright molded blue pool slide, metal supports, wood paneling, beige siding, and saturated 8mm color may show early 1970s domestic recreation styling.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has the quiet observational value of a home movie lingering on a backyard pool feature rather than staging an action scene.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a blue plastic slide, pool edge, concrete deck, metal support poles, wood-paneled wall, beige siding, hard sunlight, and dark film-frame borders.
Film character: The footage carries a physical 8mm texture with visible grain, strong daylight contrast, saturated blues, slight fading, and contact-sheet frame repetition.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief insert, seasonal transition, poolside cutaway, or memory beat within a 1970s family-leisure sequence.
Historical context: The scene supports a visual context of private or residential-style outdoor recreation in 1970s California without showing people, signage, or identifiable public landmarks.
Research note: No people, faces, logos, or audible music are visible or indicated, but copyright status and any property-release needs should be checked for the intended use.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1973 8mm California pool slide, 1970s home movie swimming pool cutaway, Super 8 backyard poolside, and vintage blue water slide footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent material from the same reel, then with 1973 Central Coast California footage, and then with broader 1970s pool, summer, and family recreation scenes.
