Woman Sitting On Water Slide By Pool — Clip Details

A woman in a white blouse and red pants sits at the base of a blue water slide near a pool in Central Coast California, 1973. She wears white-rimmed sunglasses and green shoes, posing casually against a wood-paneled wall. The vintage 8mm film captures warm, saturated colors and natural sunlight, with visible film grain and a slightly soft focus. The scene evokes a relaxed, nostalgic summer day, likely from a home movie. The woman remains seated as the camera holds steady, capturing a candid moment of leisure and retro Americana.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This clip helps satisfy 1970s California leisure, poolside recreation, and home-movie lifestyle requests for documentary, educational, or editorial productions.
Period detail: The woman's flared red pants, white blouse, oversized white sunglasses, bright green shoes, and sunlit pool-slide setting may show early 1970s casual fashion and backyard or motel-style recreation.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has unstaged home-movie value in the way the woman poses casually by the slide and then begins to rise while the camera observes from a fixed distance.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a woman seated near a blue water slide, a swimming pool edge, metal railings, concrete decking, a wood-paneled wall, white sunglasses, red pants, and green shoes.
Film character: The 8mm image has warm color saturation, visible grain, slight softness, steady framing, and high-contrast sunlight that give the clip useful physical-film texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short poolside insert, summer leisure cutaway, 1970s fashion detail, or quiet memory beat within a family or California recreation sequence.
Historical context: The scene visually reflects informal leisure culture and personal filming around a pool setting without supporting broader claims about the specific property, community, or event.
Research note: A recognizable adult face is visible, so likeness review may be needed in addition to ordinary copyright review, while no logos, children, audible music, or obvious private interiors are visible.
Research search match: Relevant researcher searches include 1973 8mm California pool footage, 1970s woman by water slide, Super 8 summer leisure, vintage home movie swimming pool, and retro poolside fashion.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with other 1973 Central Coast California pool or family-leisure footage, and finally with broader 1970s summer recreation clips.
