Horse And Buggy With Driver Stopped On Road As Car... — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm film footage from Spain in 1972 captures a horse-drawn buggy stopped on a coastal road. A driver in a white shirt and dark hat sits atop the carriage with yellow-spoked wheels, while a classic white car drives past. The scene unfolds under a bright purple-tinged sky, with a tree-lined promenade, a low stone wall, and the sea visible in the background. A yellow sign with Spanish text stands near the curb. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This clip supports archival requests for 1970s Spanish coastal transportation, combining horse-drawn carriage detail with passing automobile traffic for documentary, museum, education, or editorial use.
Period detail: The carriage, driver clothing, classic white car, promenade wall, and 8mm color rendering may show early 1970s seaside street life in Spain, consistent with the supplied 1972 metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has a visitor-shot home-movie perspective, lingering on a stopped horse and buggy while everyday road traffic passes through the frame.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a horse-drawn buggy with yellow-spoked wheels, a seated driver in a white shirt and dark hat, a passing white car, a roadside sign, trees, a balustrade, roadway, and sea beyond.
Film character: The clip carries an 8mm home-movie texture with visible grain, purple-blue color shift, soft focus, gate edges, dust specks, and slight motion blur from the brief handheld shot.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, transition, or cutaway for contrasts between traditional carriage transport and motor traffic in a coastal travel sequence.
Historical context: The scene visually places animal-drawn carriage service alongside modern cars on a seaside promenade, suggesting tourism or local transport without confirming a specific town or landmark.
Research note: A person is visible and a roadside sign may be readable, so copyright, likeness, signage, and contextual identification should be reviewed separately before rights-sensitive use.
Research search match: Relevant researcher searches include 1972 Spain 8mm horse carriage, Spanish coastal road buggy, vintage home movie promenade traffic, and 1970s seaside transportation footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with Spain 1972 coastal street material, and then with broader themes of vintage transport, tourism, and seaside promenades.
