Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This 1972 Portugal 8mm clip supports archival requests for coastal leisure, traditional fishing boats, and visitor-shot vacation material from the early 1970s.
Period detail: The sleeveless dress, sunglasses, small beached wooden fishing boats, visible boat lettering, and faded 8mm color may show early-1970s seaside travel and fishing-shore details in Portugal.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has the informal home-movie value of a woman posing briefly for the camera in front of boats during a sunny beach visit.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a sandy beach, ocean horizon, beached wooden fishing boats, painted names and registration markings, a blue boat with a star emblem, and a woman in a green sleeveless dress with sunglasses.
Film character: The footage has soft 8mm grain, slight exposure variation, handheld framing, saturated color shifts, and contact-print texture that preserve the material feel of a scanned home movie.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, travel-memory beat, seaside transition, or establishing insert for Portuguese coastal vacation material.
Historical context: The scene visually connects leisure travel with working-shore fishing boats, showing a tourist or family perspective rather than a formal record of the boats or beach.
Research note: A visible adult face and readable boat markings require likeness and trademark or identification review, while copyright clearance remains separate from any people, lettering, or property considerations.
Research search match: Likely researcher searches include 1972 Portugal 8mm beach woman posing, Portuguese fishing boats on sand, Nazaré boat home movie, and 1970s coastal vacation footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then with Portugal 1972 coastal scenes, and then with broader 1970s beach travel or traditional fishing boat material.
