Traditional Folk Dance Performance with 'Portugal... — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm footage from 1972 captures a lively traditional Portuguese folk dance performance under a bright blue sky. Dancers in elaborate regional costumes—women in flowing red and black skirts with white blouses, men in dark suits and hats—move rhythmically in a celebratory parade. A large banner reading 'PORTUGAL welcomes you' with a Portuguese flag is prominently displayed, suggesting a tourism promotion or cultural festival. The film exhibits natural grain, slight color fading, and soft focus characteristic of home movie footage from the era, conveying a nostalgic, authentic slice of 1970s Portuguese culture.
