Around 15,500 gardening and yard clips, peaking in the 1960s and running back into the 1940s. The backyard was the easiest set anyone had, so it shows up constantly, often as the backdrop to something else.
You get vegetable plots and flower beds, sprinklers and mowing, proud tours of a new lawn, people posing among the roses. California and New York lead, almost all of it on standard 8mm, with some Super 8.

Garden footage works for home, lifestyle, and seasonal campaigns, environmental and social-history documentaries, and period scenes that need a real yard of the decade. The flower-bed pan and the sprinkler shot are common choices.
The 1940s and 50s yards are tidy and productive, often still growing food. The 1960s, the peak, shift toward ornamental color and leisure. The 1970s bring bigger lots, patios, and the backyard as a place to relax rather than work.
