1970: A vintage home movie clip from Washington DC captures a striking black statue of a snake coiled around extended hooves, displayed near a classic stone building with columns and ornate architectural details. The scene features intricate carvings, scalloped patterns, and decorative elements typical of mid-century public art. The footage, shot on 8mm film, shows the statue in an open area under a clear sky, with surrounding stone blocks and horizontal window panes visible. The composition highlights the abstract, sculptural form of the animal figure, blending natural motifs with geometric design. This archival footage offers a nostalgic glimpse into 1970s vintage and urban art installations.
