1962: A vibrant outdoor scene in Calcutta, India, captured on vintage 8mm film, showing a crowd gathered during a flag ceremony under bright daylight. People in traditional and formal attire watch as a flag is raised, with British colonial-era influences visible in the setting. The footage captures a moment of civic celebration, with families and onlookers enjoying the event. The handheld 8mm camera work adds a nostalgic, home movie charm, offering authentic archival footage of mid-20th century Indian public life. This rare, unedited clip provides a unique glimpse into post-independence cultural expression and community gatherings in Calcutta.
