1958: A vintage home movie clip from New York City captures a group of friends enjoying a summer day by the river. Men and women in swim trunks stand on a wooden deck near the water's edge, waiting to swim. A tire float rests on the gentle current as people prepare to bathe in the river. The scene unfolds under bright sunlight with trees lining the riverbank, evoking a nostalgic 1950s Americana atmosphere. Filmed on 8mm film, this archival footage offers a candid glimpse into mid-century leisure and community life.
