1958: Children and adults enjoy a mild roller coaster ride at an amusement park in Ames, Iowa. The vintage 8mm film captures the train ascending a hill, navigating curves and turns, and descending with gentle dips. Riders in sweaters, jackets, and shirts laugh and smile as the coaster moves along the track, passing under wires and lampposts. The red and yellow ride features a rope barrier and handlebars, with a sign visible at the entrance. The scene reflects mid-century Americana, with a nostalgic, joyful atmosphere and a clear sky overhead.
