Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Supports requests for early 1960s Southern California home-movie footage of backyard pool recreation, diving, swimming, and informal summer leisure for documentary or memory-sequence use.
Period detail: The backyard pool, diving board, swim cap or blonde coiffure, and color 8mm look are consistent with the supplied 1961 North Hollywood home-movie metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The clip shows an unstaged backyard moment as a young woman dives, resurfaces, and swims while the camera follows from a casual family-film vantage point.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a backyard pool, diving board, turquoise water, splash, swimmer in a dark swimsuit, blonde hair or swim cap, pool deck, and film-frame borders.
Film character: The footage has soft 8mm color, visible grain, slight blur, uneven exposure, and handheld framing that give the pool scene its physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, transition, or memory beat for midcentury leisure, summer recreation, family films, or Southern California backyard life.
Historical context: The scene reflects private domestic recreation and poolside leisure in a postwar suburban setting, limited to what is visible and the supplied North Hollywood 1961 metadata.
Research note: A visible person and likely residential pool setting mean likeness and property considerations should be reviewed separately from any copyright or source-film licensing.
Research search match: Useful for searches such as 1961 8mm backyard pool dive, North Hollywood home movie swimming, blonde woman diving board, and vintage California pool recreation.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other North Hollywood 1961 footage, then related 1960s home movies of pools, swimming, summer, and recreation.
