A young woman in a red jacket and dark pants rides a white horse with black spots across an open prairie in South Dakota, 1953. The horse grazes in the dry grass before trotting forward, its rider holding the reins. Shot on 8mm film, the footage shows natural grain, slight motion blur, and a nostalgic, handheld quality. The overcast sky and vast, flat landscape evoke a quiet, rural Americana moment from the early 1950s.
