Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s Southern California home-movie requests needing backyard pool-party leisure, informal fashion, and family social atmosphere.
Period detail: The striped sleeveless swimsuit, metal lounge chairs, patio setting, and 8mm color stock support an early-1960s domestic recreation scene.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the casual, unstaged movement of adults around a backyard pool, with people lounging and interacting off-camera.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a backyard pool, striped swimsuit, patio lounge chairs, palm-like plants, seated bathers, bright sunlight, and a house exterior.
Film character: The clip has authentic 8mm texture with soft focus, visible grain, slight exposure variation, and handheld framing around the contact-print edges.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short insert, memory beat, or transition for mid-century summer leisure, suburbia, or California domestic life.
Historical context: The footage shows private backyard recreation in North Hollywood, reflecting a casual home-movie view of warm-weather social life without broader event context.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness and location context may need review; copyright, model, and property rights should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1962 North Hollywood pool party, 8mm backyard swimming footage, 1960s California home movie, and vintage swimsuit leisure scene.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then North Hollywood or 1962 material, then broader 1960s pool-party and backyard leisure footage.
