Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1930s Wyoming home-movie footage for documentary or museum edits needing a quiet outdoor recreation moment with an adult fishing in a blue lake.
Period detail: The visible clues are limited to 8mm color home-movie texture, simple outdoor clothing, a brimmed hat, and lakeside recreation consistent with the supplied 1939 metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The value is an unstaged, observational view of a lone adult standing in shallow water and working a fishing line from shore.
What appears in frame: The frames show a man in a hat, bright blue rippling water, a narrow shoreline, sparse lakeside plants, dark film borders, and contact-sheet frame divisions.
Film character: The clip carries dense 8mm grain, saturated blue color, soft focus, slight exposure variation, and dark edge borders from the scanned home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, memory beat, or transition for outdoor leisure, fishing, Wyoming travel, or family-reel recreation sequences.
Historical context: The footage visually documents recreational fishing as a personal home-movie subject, with the broader setting limited to a lake scene in Wyoming per the supplied metadata.
Research note: An adult person is visible at a distance, so likeness review may be needed; no logos, private property, children, or audible music are indicated, and copyright status is separate.
Research search match: Useful search phrases include 1939 Wyoming fishing home movie, 8mm lake recreation, vintage man fishing, blue lake footage, and 1930s outdoor leisure.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with the same reel, then other 1939 Wyoming lake or travel footage, then broader 1930s fishing, outdoor recreation, and home-movie nature scenes.
