Woman Wearing Yellow Dress Walks Past Blue Reflection Pool — Clip Details

A woman in a yellow dress walks along a concrete path beside a long blue reflection pool in Nassau, Bahamas, in 1961. The vintage 8mm film captures her movement past international flags on tall poles, with classic American cars parked in the background under a bright, sunny sky. Palm trees and a large building frame the scene, evoking mid-century tropical tourism. The footage shows natural film grain and slight motion blur, characteristic of home movie Super 8 footage from the early 1960s.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s travel, tourism, and leisure edits needing a brief Nassau street-side resort or civic walkway scene with a lone woman by a reflecting pool.
Period detail: The clip shows mid-century cars, tall flagpoles, palm trees, and a bright formal pool setting that support the supplied 1961 Nassau, Bahamas context.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has an unstaged visitor perspective, holding on a woman walking casually along the pool edge rather than presenting a planned tourist-board view.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a woman in a yellow dress, blue reflecting pool, concrete walkway, international flags, parked cars, palm trees, poles, and a large light-colored building.
Film character: The 8mm scan carries soft focus, visible grain, slight blur, uneven exposure, and contact-sheet framing that give it recognizable home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, travel cutaway, memory beat, or transition within a sequence about early-1960s Caribbean tourism.
Historical context: The scene places a dressed female visitor or passerby within a sunny public-facing Nassau setting shaped by cars, flags, palms, and formal landscaping.
Research note: A visible adult figure may require likeness review, while copyright, location, and property considerations should be assessed separately from the film scan metadata.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1961 Nassau Bahamas home movie, 1960s Caribbean tourism footage, woman yellow dress reflecting pool, and vintage 8mm travel scene.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with same-reel Nassau material, then other 1961 Bahamas travel shots, then broader 1960s Caribbean tourism, resort, poolside, and street-view footage.
