Parade Carnival People In Colorful Costumes Marching Down — Clip Details

Nassau, Bahamas - 1961: A vibrant street parade unfolds in this 8mm home movie, capturing performers in dazzling handmade costumes of red, yellow, blue, and green stripes marching down a city street. Dancers in colorful, layered outfits and tall feathered hats move rhythmically, some carrying a large white and green float. The footage, shot on vintage 8mm film, shows a lively community celebration with onlookers lining the sidewalks, all under the bright sun of a tropical day. The grainy, slightly faded quality adds authentic retro charm to this archival moment of Bahamian carnival culture.
