Looking At The Massive Snow-Covered Mountain Just — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1961, this vintage home movie captures a dramatic view of a massive snow-covered mountain from a winding mountain road in Aspen, Colorado. The footage, taken from a moving vehicle, shows a yellow warning sign and evergreen trees lining the darkened roadside, with the sunlit peak rising against a cloudy sky. The grainy, color-bleached quality of the Super 8 film adds to the nostalgic, archival feel of this classic American mountain landscape.
