Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Supports 1950s Nebraska archival requests needing an exterior establishing view of a mid-century brick building during a poultry exposition.

Period detail

The banner for the 1959 NEPPCO Poultry Exposition, brick facade, double doors, and period streetlamps provide visible late-1950s institutional-event clues.

Home-movie behavior

The clip has a visitor-shot viewpoint, panning from behind dark vertical foreground shapes toward the building entrance and landscaped grounds.

What appears in frame

Visible elements include a brick building, exposition banner, white double doors, trees, lawn, streetlamps, shrubs, and a red fire hydrant.

Film character

The 8mm footage shows soft focus, visible grain, muted color, mild exposure variation, and handheld movement consistent with home-movie scanning.

Edit role

An editor could use this as an establishing insert, transitional exterior, or brief contextual cutaway for mid-century agricultural or regional-event material.

Historical context

The scene visually places an organized poultry exposition in a civic or institutional setting with landscaped grounds and a prominent entrance banner.

Research note

The NEPPCO banner is a visible organization mark, so copyright, trademark, event-identification, and location/property questions should be reviewed separately.
