An Adult Man Skiing Down a Snowy Slope in a Forested Area — Clip Details

A man in a cream sweater and dark pants skis down a snowy slope in Vermont in 1962. Shot on 8mm film, the footage captures him gliding through a forested area with trees lining the hillside. The grainy, slightly faded color palette and soft focus evoke a nostalgic, home movie feel. He holds ski poles and moves steadily down the slope, his shadow visible on the snow. The scene radiates quiet joy and the simple pleasure of a winter day in the mountains.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s archival requests needing amateur winter recreation footage, Vermont skiing, or home-movie inserts of an adult skier on a snowy wooded slope.
Period detail: The cream sweater, simple ski gear, soft color, and metadata-supported 1962 Vermont setting may show mid-century recreational skiing in a noncommercial home-movie context.
Home-movie behavior: The skier appears relaxed and unstaged, moving steadily downhill while the camera follows from a family or companion viewpoint.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include an adult man on skis, ski poles, a snowy slope, dark tree line, long shadows, bright winter light, and rounded 8mm frame edges.
Film character: The clip has visible 8mm grain, soft focus, slight color fading, uneven exposure, and handheld framing that support its archival home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief insert, seasonal transition, memory beat, or cutaway for mid-century winter leisure and amateur skiing.
Historical context: The footage reflects personal winter recreation in a wooded Vermont setting without supporting claims about a named resort, event, or organized ski culture.
Research note: An adult person is visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos, music, or private property are apparent, but copyright and personality rights remain separate checks.
Research search match: Researcher matches include 1962 Vermont skiing home movie, 8mm adult skier snowy slope, vintage winter recreation footage, and 1960s forest ski scene.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent frames or clips from the same reel, then Vermont 1962 winter material, then broader 1960s home-movie skiing and snow recreation footage.
