Men Hunting Turkeys Out In The Countryside As A Group — Clip Details

CALIFORNIA-1936: A group of men proudly display their hunting haul in a sun-drenched countryside setting. Shot on 8mm film, the footage captures four hunters in vintage attire—red hats, vests, and boots—posing with harvested turkeys in front of a classic 1930s automobile. The scene shifts to a rustic farmyard with stacked barrels and a gobbler in the foreground, evoking a nostalgic, authentic slice of American rural life. The warm, faded colors and film grain enhance the historic, home movie feel.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1930s California rural-life or hunting-history edits needing authentic home-movie footage of men posing with harvested turkeys and a period automobile.
Period detail: The red hats, vests, boots, long trousers, farmyard barrels, and rounded 1930s automobile support the stated 1936 rural California setting.
Home-movie behavior: The men pose casually with their hunting haul while the camera lingers like a family or community record rather than a staged news scene.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include four adult men, red hats, harvested turkeys, a dark rounded automobile, farm buildings, stacked barrels, and live turkeys in a yard.
Film character: The 8mm footage has warm faded color, visible grain, soft focus, slight exposure variation, and contact-sheet gate edges that reinforce its physical home-movie origin.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief insert, rural hunting cutaway, period lifestyle transition, or memory beat within a broader 1930s countryside sequence.
Historical context: The clip shows recreational or subsistence hunting culture in a rural setting, with adult men presenting game birds near a car and farm structures.
Research note: Adult faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; copyright, location, and any property permissions should be checked separately.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1930s California 8mm hunting footage, men with turkeys, rural home movies, farmyard gobbler, and vintage automobile countryside scenes.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel material, then other 1936 California footage, then rural hunting, farmyard, vintage automobile, or outdoor men's group scenes.
