Montreal Canada-1950: Two Elder Women Sitting On White Adirondack Chairs

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Useful for 1950s Canadian home-movie requests needing a quiet leisure insert with older women seated outdoors in a social lawn setting.

Period detail

The cardigan, skirt, sunglasses, Adirondack-style chairs, and color 8mm home-movie look support a mid-century leisure setting in Montreal.

Home-movie behavior

The women appear relaxed and aware of the camera, offering an informal family or social-gathering moment rather than a staged portrait.

What appears in frame

Visible elements include two older women, white Adirondack chairs, green lawn, sunglasses, a yellow cardigan, a dark cardigan, and seated guests in the background.

Film character

The clip has soft 8mm color, visible grain, slight blur, warm exposure, and handheld framing that preserve the texture of an original home movie scan.

Edit role

An editor could use it as a memory beat, social-life cutaway, or transition into family, leisure, aging, or mid-century Montreal material.

Historical context

The scene shows outdoor sociability and casual dress among older women, with no visible public landmark or identifiable event in the frames.

Research note

Faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos, minors, or obvious private-property indicators are visible, and copyright clearance is separate.
