Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s California archive requests needing mid-century marine park animal performance footage for documentary, education, or editorial context.
Period detail: The scene may show an early-1960s outdoor aquatic attraction, with a simple pool edge, suspended flaming ring, trainer platform equipment, and faded 8mm color.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a visitor-shot viewpoint, watching a staged dolphin act from the seating or poolside area rather than a controlled production angle.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a dolphin, pool water, flaming hoop, trainer, metal support rig, sandy enclosure, small table, and distant coastal view.
Film character: The footage carries soft 8mm grain, slight blur, uneven exposure, color fading, and handheld framing that give it authentic home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short insert, cutaway, or memory beat for marine parks, animal shows, leisure travel, or mid-century entertainment.
Historical context: The clip visually documents a period style of public animal entertainment, showing a dolphin act presented as spectacle around fire and water.
Research note: People are visible and likeness review may be needed, while copyright, location permissions, and animal-performance context should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1960s California marine park home movie, dolphin fire ring performance, vintage 8mm animal show, and trainer pool footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then other California 1962 travel scenes, then related marine park or trained animal performance clips.
