View Of Blue And Tan Stone Reflection Pool On A Clear Day — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1960, this vintage footage captures a tranquil outdoor scene in Italy. The camera pans across a sun-drenched pool area featuring a distinctive blue and tan stone wall with a built-in bench adorned with floral tile patterns. The blue-tiled floor reflects the clear sky, and a large ceramic urn sits beside the wall. The warm, slightly grainy color palette and soft focus evoke a nostalgic mid-century European leisure moment, perfect for documentaries, retro-themed projects, or historical content.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for requests needing 1960s Italian home-movie cutaways of outdoor leisure architecture, tiled pools, and quiet Mediterranean-style courtyards.
Period detail: The blue tile, floral wall panels, stonework, and ceramic urn may show mid-century resort or residential design details visible in Italy around 1960.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a visitor-shot perspective, lingering on decorative surfaces and pool reflections rather than staged action or identifiable people.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a blue-tiled pool edge, tan stone wall, floral tile panels, built-in bench, ceramic urn, paved floor, water reflections, and garden shade.
Film character: The 8mm image has soft focus, visible grain, slight exposure variation, and handheld framing that give the pool scene a physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a quiet insert, establishing cutaway, transition, or memory beat for travel, leisure, architecture, or domestic vacation sequences.
Historical context: The footage records decorative outdoor space and poolside design without showing social activity, so context should stay tied to visible architecture and setting.
Research note: No people, logos, or audible music are indicated, but copyright, location ownership, and property-release questions should still be reviewed for the intended use.
Research search match: Likely matches searches for 1960 Italy 8mm pool footage, vintage tiled courtyard, home movie reflection pool, floral tile bench, and mid-century outdoor leisure.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1960 Italy clips, then broader vintage pool, courtyard, tilework, or Mediterranean leisure footage.
