A young boy in light-colored swim trunks stands on a diving board at a backyard pool in Nevada, 1969. He leaps into the air, executing a handstand before plunging into the blue water, creating a large splash. The scene captures a classic moment of summertime recreation, shot on 8mm film with visible grain and saturated colors. Another swimmer is visible in the pool as the boy surfaces, embodying the carefree spirit of 1960s home movie footage.
