Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful 1960s 8mm home-movie footage for productions needing Midwestern winter recreation, frozen-lake activity, or small-town seasonal life in Tustin, Wisconsin.
Period detail: The clip shows 1964 home-movie winter clothing, distant lakeside houses, and ice-fishing or lake recreation that may reflect mid-century Wisconsin leisure.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the candid, unstaged view of bundled people moving across a frozen lake while others gather in the distance.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a frozen lake, snow-covered shoreline, distant houses, tree lines, bundled figures, dark film-frame borders, and small groups on the ice.
Film character: The 8mm scan has soft focus, blue winter color cast, grain, gate edges, and slightly uneven exposure that read as authentic home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a winter cutaway, regional memory beat, seasonal transition, or insert for frozen-lake recreation.
Historical context: The scene documents everyday outdoor winter recreation on a frozen lake without making claims about a named event or organized gathering.
Research note: People are visible at a distance, so likeness review may still be needed, while copyright, location, and property permissions should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Good matches include 1960s Wisconsin frozen lake, 8mm winter recreation, home movie ice fishing, Tustin Wisconsin winter, and mid-century snow shoreline.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1964 Tustin or Wisconsin winter clips, then broader frozen-lake recreation footage.
