View Of Thompson Gazelles Walking In Field On A Clear — Clip Details

IRVINE CALIFORNIA-1974: Vintage 8mm home movie footage captures a safari-style wildlife enclosure under an overcast sky. Zebras graze in the mid-ground while large antelopes, including oryx with long straight horns, walk across rocky terrain. A light-colored vintage car is visible in the background, suggesting a drive-through zoo experience. The film exhibits natural grain, slight color fading, and the characteristic black borders of 8mm home movie footage, evoking a nostalgic 1970s Americana feel.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s editorial or documentary requests needing visitor-shot drive-through wildlife park footage in Southern California.
Period detail: The light-colored car, 8mm format, and metadata-supported 1974 Irvine setting place the scene in a 1970s leisure and wildlife-park context.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a visitor perspective, observing grazing zebras and antelopes from a distance rather than staging animal action.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include zebras, large horned antelopes, rocky enclosure features, open dirt ground, low hills, sparse trees, cloudy sky, and a pale car.
Film character: The footage shows soft 8mm grain, muted color, slight exposure variation, and black frame borders that retain the home-movie scan character.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief wildlife-park cutaway, 1970s travel insert, or transition into family leisure and roadside attraction material.
Historical context: The scene reflects a period visitor experience with exotic animals viewed in an open enclosure, supported by the visible car and safari-style layout.
Research note: No people, faces, logos, or readable brands are visible, but users should still review location, animal facility, copyright, and property-context needs.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1974 Irvine 8mm wildlife park footage, vintage drive-through zoo animals, zebras and oryx in enclosure, and 1970s California home movie.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with same-reel zoo or travel footage, then other 1974 Irvine material, then broader 1970s wildlife park or family outing scenes.
