Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for requests needing late-1950s New Jersey home-movie footage of an informal family meal or backyard gathering for documentary, museum, or editorial context.
Period detail: The table setting, green cups, wooden chairs, and soft 8mm color may show a casual suburban meal scene from the late 1950s.
Home-movie behavior: The camera observes an unstaged table moment with people seated or moving nearby, giving the clip value as everyday family-gathering footage.
What appears in frame: Visible details include a checkered shirt, green cups, a white tablecloth, plates, utensils, wooden chairs, grass, and partially seen people around the table.
Film character: The 8mm image has soft focus, visible grain, low-light exposure, a purple-blue color cast, and slight handheld framing typical of scanned home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a domestic cutaway, meal-table insert, transition beat, or quiet memory moment within a 1950s family sequence.
Historical context: The clip visually suggests informal postwar suburban social life through a backyard or patio meal setting, without identifying the people or occasion.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos are apparent, and copyright status should be assessed separately from depicted rights.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1959 Paramus New Jersey home movie, 8mm family gathering, vintage meal table, backyard dining, and midcentury suburban footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with other 1959 Paramus footage, then with home-movie clips of meals, gatherings, and backyard social scenes.
