A man in a black coat and a child in red boots play in the snow on a rocky hillside in Italy, 1958. Shot on 8mm film, the footage captures the child tumbling and sliding through the snow while the man watches and moves nearby. The grainy, color-bleached quality of the Super 8 home movie evokes a nostalgic, intimate winter moment. The scene unfolds in natural daylight with patches of snow and bare earth, conveying a candid, personal memory from the late 1950s.
