Shot on 8mm film in 1938, this vintage home movie captures two views of a person rowing a small boat across Bucks Lake in California. The footage, bathed in a striking blue-purple color cast typical of aged film, shows the individual paddling steadily on calm waters with a dense forested shoreline in the distance. The scene evokes a quiet, nostalgic atmosphere of early 20th-century recreation, with the subject seen from both front and side angles as they navigate the lake during what appears to be dusk. The grainy texture and color degradation enhance its authentic archival quality.
