Three Old People Working Smiling Happily Pruning The — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1937, this vintage home movie captures a family of three—two adults and a child—harvesting oranges in a sun-drenched backyard in Long Beach, California. A woman in a light dress and a man in a button-up shirt reach into a leafy tree, carefully picking fruit while a young child sits below, smiling and reaching up. The grainy black-and-white footage, with its characteristic film edges and soft focus, evokes a warm, nostalgic atmosphere of mid-century domestic life and simple joy.
