Parade with Nautical Float and Young Women — Clip Details

A vibrant 1966 parade in Norfolk, Virginia, captured on 8mm film, features colorful floats celebrating the Florida Citrus Industry and a nautical theme with boats and anchors. Young women in period swimwear wave from the floats as they pass a cheering crowd lining the street. The footage shows classic 1960s Americana with bright, saturated colors, film grain, and a nostalgic, home movie feel. A Hertz rental car sign is visible in the background, adding to the era's commercial context. The camera follows the procession, capturing the festive atmosphere of a summer holiday parade.
