Archive brief fit

1960s Pasadena parade footage for productions needing a brief archival insert of a decorated civic float with costumed women and street spectators.

Period detail

Mid-century buildings, swimwear-style costumes, street lamps, and an 8mm color home-movie look support the 1962 Pasadena setting in the supplied metadata.

Home-movie behavior

The clip has a spectator-shot viewpoint from the roadside, catching the float as it passes with crowds gathered along the curb.

What appears in frame

Visible elements include a flower-covered float, large red roses, butterfly-wing costumes, women posing on platforms, curbside spectators, city buildings, trees, and a partly cloudy sky.

Film character

The footage shows soft 8mm color, visible grain, slight blur, dark frame edges, and handheld framing that reads as original amateur film texture.

Edit role

Editors could use it as a short parade insert, a Pasadena memory beat, a transition into civic celebration, or a cutaway for mid-century pageantry.

Historical context

The scene documents public parade spectacle and costumed float design, with women presented as butterfly figures before a mixed sidewalk crowd.

Research note

People and faces are visible, so likeness and contextual use should be reviewed separately from any copyright or film-source licensing questions.
