Passengers Aboard Ferry in Harbor — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1962, this vintage home movie captures a leisurely boat ride in Izmir, Turkey. A small motorboat cuts through the water, leaving a wake behind, before the scene shifts to passengers aboard a larger ferry. A group of people, including a man in a blue cap and women in 1960s attire, sit on benches, enjoying the day. The white ferry features life preservers and a classic design, with a cityscape visible in the distance. The footage exhibits natural film grain and color fading typical of Super 8 home movies from the era.

Film character: The clip has visible 8mm grain, slight color fading, soft focus, handheld framing, and contact-print exposure shifts that read as authentic home-movie texture.

Historical context: The footage shows ordinary social time on a ferry, offering visual context for midcentury recreation and local water transport without identifying the individuals.
Research note: People and recognizable faces are visible, so likeness and privacy review may be needed separately from copyright or footage licensing checks.
