IZMIR TURKEY-1962: A vintage 8mm home movie captures a group of men in a rural mountain setting, proudly displaying a large bear they have captured. The men, dressed in 1960s attire including hats and jackets, stand with the bear in a leafless orchard or field. The bear, appearing to be a taxidermy mount or a live animal, is held upright as the men pose for the camera. The footage shows natural film grain and color fading characteristic of Super 8 film from the early 1960s, with a quiet, documentary-style atmosphere.
