Family in Life Jackets Awaiting Evacuation — Clip Details

YOKOHAMA JAPAN-1954: A tense, grainy 8mm home movie captures a family in distress during a storm. Children in life jackets look anxious and frightened as they wait in a crowded, dimly lit space, likely on a ship or evacuation point. The blue-tinted film and visible grain emphasize the era's raw, unfiltered quality. A woman with glasses and red lipstick stares forward, her expression conveying deep concern. The handheld camera movement adds to the sense of urgency and instability, documenting a moment of crisis and survival during a historical event.
