Shot on 8mm film in 1965, this vintage home movie captures a sunny day at a public swimming pool in Brentwood, New York. Swimmers glide through the turquoise water while a crowd of adults and children watch from the poolside, some standing, others seated on benches. Men in short-sleeved shirts and shorts, women in dresses and swimsuits, and children in swimwear reflect the era's casual summer fashion. The scene is framed by a natural border, with trees and distant hills under a bright sky. The footage shows natural film grain and slight color fading, evoking authentic mid-century Americana.
