Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s travel, leisure, and resort-life sequences needing authentic home-movie footage of adults swimming outdoors in Cabo San Lucas.
Period detail: The bright blue pool, simple swim trunks, palm landscaping, and saturated 8mm color support a mid-1970s vacation setting without visible brands or landmarks.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has an unstaged vacation feel, with one man swimming across the pool while another floats and smiles toward the camera.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include two adult men, blue pool water, swim trunks, palm trunks, a stone wall, sunlit pool decking, garden greenery, and film-frame borders.
Film character: The 8mm scan shows saturated color, visible grain, slight softness, and contact-sheet frame edges that give the pool scene clear home-movie texture.
Edit role: Editors could use this as a short insert, vacation memory beat, resort cutaway, or transition within broader 1970s Mexico travel material.
Historical context: The footage reflects casual adult vacation recreation at a tropical resort pool, framed from a private visitor or family-camera perspective.
Research note: Adult faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos or music are apparent, and copyright clearance is separate from model or property permissions.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1974 Cabo San Lucas swimming pool, 1970s Mexico resort home movie, men swimming on 8mm film, and vintage vacation pool footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1974 Cabo San Lucas material, then broader 1970s Mexico travel or poolside leisure scenes.
