Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s documentary edits needing a Tulsa campus sports venue exterior, collegiate basketball marquee, or Oral Roberts University visual reference.
Period detail: The electronic marquee, roadside sign design, 8mm color, and metadata-supported 1972 date place the clip in an early 1970s campus sports setting.
Home-movie behavior: The brief handheld view feels like a visitor or fan recording the venue sign from near a roadway rather than a staged institutional shot.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include the Mabee Center sign, ORU host message, Indiana State listing, roadway, stadium-like structure, utility poles, winter trees, and film frame edges.
Film character: Warm color, visible grain, slight handheld movement, soft focus, and contact-print edges give the footage a period 8mm home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short establishing insert, sports-program cutaway, campus transition, or memory beat before basketball or Tulsa material.
Historical context: The clip shows how a university sports event was advertised on an exterior marquee, with no visible crowd or gameplay in the sampled frames.
Research note: ORU, Mabee Center, and Indiana State names are visible, so trademark, venue, and institutional identification review may be needed separate from copyright status.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1972 Tulsa 8mm home movie, Oral Roberts University Mabee Center sign, ORU basketball marquee, and Indiana State college sports footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent same-reel Tulsa or ORU shots, then other 1972 Oklahoma campus footage, then broader 1970s college basketball or venue signage scenes.
