A Beautiful Girl With Microphone — Clip Details

A young woman with a short, styled bob haircut performs on stage in a dimly lit room, holding a microphone and smiling as she sings. Shot on 8mm film in 1976, the footage captures her expressive performance with warm, saturated purple and blue lighting that gives it a distinct retro feel. She wears a white t-shirt with blue trim and a dark necklace, seated on a white ornate chair. The grainy texture and color shifts typical of vintage home movie footage enhance the nostalgic, intimate atmosphere of this Kentucky home movie.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s documentary or editorial requests needing an intimate home-movie performance scene with a young woman using a microphone indoors.
Period detail: The short styled hair, white shirt with blue trim, wired microphone, and saturated purple-blue room lighting may show a mid-1970s amateur performance setting.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the informal, close home-movie view of a smiling performer reacting naturally while seated and holding the microphone.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a seated young woman, handheld microphone, ornate white chair, partial nearby person, framed wall art, dark curtain, and purple-blue interior lighting.
Film character: The 8mm footage has soft focus, visible grain, color shift, uneven exposure, and slight frame instability that read as authentic physical-film texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, reaction beat, performance cutaway, or memory fragment within a sequence about amateur entertainment or 1970s social gatherings.
Historical context: The clip visually suggests a small indoor performance or gathering, with attention centered on a young woman singing or speaking into a microphone.
Research note: People and a private interior are visible, so likeness and property review may be needed in addition to any copyright assessment for the film source.
Research search match: Searches such as 1976 Kentucky home movie microphone performer, 1970s amateur singing indoors, or 8mm young woman on stage may match this clip.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent material from the same reel, then other 1976 Kentucky interiors, then related amateur performance or family gathering footage.
