Young Man Arrives At Frat Party In T-Shirt And Is... — Clip Details

A young man in a light-colored shirt arrives at a frat party in Kentucky in 1976, greeted by friends in a dimly lit room with a strong purple hue. The 8mm home movie captures candid moments of laughter and conversation among young men, one wearing a t-shirt with visible lettering. The footage shows natural movement and interaction, with a grainy texture and color distortion typical of vintage Super 8 film. The setting appears to be a residential interior with wooden doors and cabinets, evoking a nostalgic, intimate atmosphere of 1970s college life.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s college-life edits needing brief archival home-movie footage of young men greeting each other at an indoor party in Kentucky.
Period detail: The light shirt, printed T-shirt, wood-paneled interior details and Super 8 color cast support a mid-1970s domestic or fraternity-party setting.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the candid arrival and greeting, with young men smiling, leaning in and moving naturally in a small interior space.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include young men, a printed T-shirt, a doorway or wall opening, wood cabinets, a red shirt, glasses, dim interior lighting and strong purple film color.
Film character: The clip has dense 8mm grain, soft focus, handheld framing, exposure shifts and a pronounced magenta-purple cast typical of aged home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a quick insert, social transition, party cutaway or memory beat for 1970s student and fraternity-life sequences.
Historical context: The footage shows informal male socializing in a private interior, consistent with metadata describing a Kentucky frat party in 1976.
Research note: Faces, a visible shirt graphic, alcohol context and private-property interiors require likeness, trademark and location review separate from copyright status.
Research search match: Research matches include 1976 Kentucky fraternity party, 1970s college party home movie, Super 8 young men drinking, and vintage student social footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Kentucky 1976 interiors, then broader 1970s college party or youth social footage.
