Woman Wearing Blue Plaid Jacket Accepts Gold Trophy From Man — Clip Details

A vintage 8mm home movie clip from Kentucky in 1976 captures a woman in a blue plaid jacket accepting a gold trophy from a man in a red shirt. The footage, shot indoors under dramatic purple lighting, shows the woman smiling as she receives the award. The grainy, color-bleached quality of the Super 8 film enhances its nostalgic, archival feel, with the subjects in profile and the camera remaining mostly static throughout the brief moment.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s Kentucky home-movie requests needing an indoor award presentation, recognition moment, or community-event cutaway with visible adults.
Period detail: The clothing, trophy style, indoor wood-toned setting, and purple-tinted 8mm color may show a mid-1970s social or local awards gathering.
Home-movie behavior: The clip preserves an unstaged home-movie moment as a smiling woman accepts a trophy while others nearby remain partly outside the frame.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include an adult man in a red shirt, an adult woman in a blue plaid jacket, a gold-colored trophy, an interior doorway, dark wall surfaces, and film-frame edges.
Film character: The 8mm scan has heavy grain, soft focus, color shift toward purple, and contact-frame borders that give the award exchange a physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief insert, memory beat, or transition illustrating recognition, celebration, amateur documentation, or 1970s community interiors.
Historical context: The scene suggests a small indoor recognition moment, with ordinary clothing and close home-movie framing rather than a formal broadcast or staged ceremony.
Research note: Faces and a private interior are visible, so likeness and property considerations should be reviewed separately from any copyright status.
Research search match: Research matches include 1970s Kentucky home movie award ceremony, woman accepting trophy, Super 8 indoor recognition, and amateur footage of local celebration.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with nearby frames from the same reel, then Kentucky 1976 interiors, then other home-movie clips showing awards, gatherings, or informal celebrations.
