Swimmers in Public Pool — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1973, this vintage home movie captures a lively summer day at a public swimming pool in New York. A young girl in a pink one-piece swimsuit and a yellow swim cap stands near a chain-link fence, while others enjoy the water. Swimmers of all ages, including children in white caps, splash and swim in the blue pool, with adults relaxing on lounge chairs along the deck. The footage features the characteristic grain, color saturation, and slight instability of 8mm home movies from the era, offering authentic archival footage for documentaries, nostalgic content, or period-specific projects.
