A young girl in a pink one-piece swimsuit and a bright yellow-and-red swim cap walks away from a swimming pool in New York, 1973. Shot on 8mm film, the footage captures her turning her back to the camera, hands on her hips, as if expressing displeasure. The scene unfolds at a public pool with a chain-link fence, lounge chairs, and a blue-and-white umbrella in the background. Other swimmers and spectators are visible, creating a nostalgic snapshot of a summer day. The grainy, color-bleached quality of the Super 8 home movie enhances its authentic vintage feel.
