Camera Captures Large Frog In The Water Near Condominium... — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1973, this vintage home movie captures a large frog in a pond at the edge of a grassy area near a building in Florida. The footage shows a two-story structure with white siding and a sign for 'Shore Condominium Apartments' in the background. The scene transitions to a close-up of the frog partially submerged in water, surrounded by tall grass and foliage. The image has a distinct blue-purple color cast typical of aged Super 8 film, with visible grain and light leaks. This archival clip offers a nostalgic glimpse of Florida life and wildlife from the early 1970s.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s Florida home-movie requests needing a brief wildlife cutaway near residential condominium grounds.
Period detail: The apartment sign, two-story siding, parked car, and 8mm color palette support an early 1970s residential setting, with Florida supplied by metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The camera moves from a condominium exterior to a close study of a frog, preserving a casual observer's attention to small wildlife.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a condominium sign, two-story building, lawn, pond edge, tall grasses, foliage, water surface, and a large frog.
Film character: The scan shows blue-purple color shift, soft focus, visible grain, uneven exposure, and handheld framing characteristic of aged 8mm home movies.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a wildlife insert, residential transition, Florida memory beat, or quiet nature cutaway within a 1970s sequence.
Historical context: The clip places local wildlife beside condominium landscaping, suggesting everyday encounters between residential development and pond habitat.
Research note: The visible apartment sign may require brand or location review, while no people are visible and copyright clearance remains separate from property concerns.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1973 Florida 8mm frog footage, vintage condominium pond, home movie wildlife, and 1970s residential exterior cutaways.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with neighboring shots from the same reel, then Florida 1973 residential footage, then vintage pond, frog, and small wildlife material.
