High School Football Game at Night Under Purple Tinted... — Clip Details

OHIO USA-1969: Vintage 8mm film captures a high school football game under night lights, with players in white and dark uniforms running across a grass field. The footage, shot on Super 8, shows a player in a white jersey with number 80 running with the ball, while others engage in tackles and plays. The scene is bathed in a distinct purple hue, characteristic of older film stock, with visible grain and a handheld camera perspective. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for requests needing late-1960s Ohio amateur footage of American high school football for documentary, education, or period sports sequences.
Period detail: The helmets, numbered jerseys, grass field, bleachers, and night-game lighting may show a late-1960s school football setting consistent with the supplied 1969 Ohio metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The handheld viewpoint follows active plays from the stands or sideline, preserving the feel of a spectator recording a local school game rather than staged sports coverage.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include football players in white and dark uniforms, a grass field, yard lines, a football, sideline figures, distant bleachers, night lighting, and heavy purple tint.
Film character: The 8mm scan has pronounced grain, soft focus, uneven exposure, handheld motion, and a strong purple color cast that give the footage clear home-movie archival texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief sports insert, memory beat, period transition, or cutaway for American school athletics and community recreation.
Historical context: The clip visually places organized football within a local school or community setting, with spectators and uniformed players suggesting a shared public recreation event.
Research note: People and faces are visible at a distance, so likeness review may be needed; no logos, music, or private property are apparent, and copyright clearance is separate.
Research search match: Searches such as 1960s Ohio high school football, 8mm night football game, vintage school sports home movie, and amateur American football footage may match this clip.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1969 Ohio material, then broader 1960s school sports or amateur football footage.
