Woman Smoking Cigarette and Tapping Ash on Beach — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1954, this vintage home movie captures a woman in a colorful striped strapless swimsuit smoking a cigarette on a sun-drenched beach. She taps the ash from her cigarette while a young boy in blue swim trunks stands beside her, smiling. The grainy, warm-toned footage shows other beachgoers in period swimwear, evoking a nostalgic 1950s Americana atmosphere. The candid moment, filmed with a handheld camera, offers authentic archival footage of mid-century leisure and social habits.
