SANTA CRUZ CALIFORNIA-1949: A young girl in a pink two-piece bathing suit stands in a shallow river, her hands on her hips as she looks toward the camera. The water ripples around her legs, and the natural light creates a warm, sun-drenched glow on her curly hair. The scene shifts to an older man in a white shirt and light pants, standing in a wooded area with trees and dappled sunlight behind him. Shot on 8mm film, this vintage home movie captures a candid moment of family life in the late 1940s, with authentic film grain and color fading typical of the era.
