Shot on 8mm film in 1949, this vintage home movie captures a tender moment between a mother and daughter in Santa Cruz, California. The woman, with styled dark hair and a light-colored blouse, sits on a lawn chair as her young daughter, wearing a striped shirt and a braided hairstyle, leans into her. The girl yawns and rests her head on her mother's shoulder before they share a warm, affectionate embrace. The scene unfolds on a sunlit grassy lawn, with soft focus and natural film grain enhancing the nostalgic, intimate mood of this classic family memory.
