A Man In A Yellow Shirt And Striped Shorts Swinging A... — Clip Details

A man in a yellow polo shirt and plaid shorts swings a golf club on a sun-drenched course in Scottsdale, Arizona, 1968. Shot on 8mm film, the footage captures his full swing motion with a palm tree and distant trees in the background. The warm, faded colors and grainy texture evoke a nostalgic, retro feel. The golfer wears a cap and glasses, focused on his shot as the ball rests on the green grass. This authentic home movie footage offers a glimpse into mid-century American leisure and sports culture.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s American leisure, golf, resort recreation, or home-movie sports sequences needing a short Scottsdale-area cutaway.
Period detail: The clothing, 8mm color palette, golf course setting, and metadata-supported 1968 Scottsdale location point to late-1960s recreational style.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has the casual value of a companion filming a golfer's swing from a fixed home-movie viewpoint rather than a staged sports production.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include an adult golfer, yellow shirt, plaid shorts, cap, golf club, golf ball, grass fairway, palm tree, and distant trees.
Film character: The scan shows warm faded color, visible grain, gate edges, slight exposure shifts, and red light leaks typical of aged 8mm home-movie material.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief insert, leisure cutaway, memory beat, or transition within sequences about golf, Arizona recreation, or mid-century vacations.
Historical context: The footage visually situates golf as a casual outdoor pastime in a sunny landscaped setting without documenting a named course or formal event.
Research note: An identifiable adult face may require likeness review, while no visible brands, minors, or private interiors are apparent from these frames.
Research search match: Searches such as 1968 Scottsdale golf home movie, 8mm golfer swing, Arizona golf course footage, or 1960s leisure sports may match this clip.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with same-reel vacation or golf footage, then Scottsdale or Arizona 1968 material, then broader 1960s golf and outdoor recreation scenes.
