A Man Playing Golf In The Summer On The Greens With His — Clip Details

A man in a white shirt and hat plays golf on a sun-drenched course in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1968. The vintage 8mm film captures him walking across the green, preparing to putt, with a red golf bag and a 'No Electric Carts in Parking' sign visible. The footage features warm, faded colors and classic Super 8 grain, with mountains and trees in the background under a bright sky. This authentic home movie offers a nostalgic glimpse into mid-century American recreation.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s Arizona recreation sequences needing authentic home-movie golf, leisure travel, or sunbelt resort-life cutaways.
Period detail: The clothing, soft hat, pull golf bag, open course design, and faded 8mm color support a late-1960s recreational setting in Scottsdale.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has an unstaged family-film view of a golfer walking and preparing between shots rather than posing for the camera.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a male golfer, white hat and shirt, golf club, fairway grass, scattered trees, distant mountains, long shadows, and a red bench or bag edge.
Film character: Warm faded color, visible grain, gate marks, slight softness, and handheld framing give the short scene a physical 8mm home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief insert, transition, or memory beat for golf, retirement leisure, Arizona travel, or mid-century outdoor recreation.
Historical context: The footage shows golf as relaxed outdoor leisure in a desert-edge course landscape, with mountains and irrigated greens shaping the setting.
Research note: A person is visible, so likeness review may be needed; no clear logos are visible, and copyright status remains separate from any depicted rights.
Research search match: Searches such as 1968 Scottsdale golf home movie, vintage 8mm Arizona golf course, and 1960s man playing golf may match this clip.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent same-reel golf shots, then Scottsdale or 1968 Arizona footage, then broader 1960s recreation and travel material.
